Support Forgram offers unconditional, free technical support to registered users of current versions of XMLtoXLS. Customer reported problems are acknowledged within 24 hours and usually resolved within two to three days. Please email any problems or suggestions using the Support button above. Problem XML files can be sent to Support for review at no charge. Complete confidentiality of customer data is the categorical policy practice at Forgram Software. If required contact Forgram Support to arrange non-disclosure agreement, or simply send a sample (first 2 pages) of the XML file. Simple editing of XML files can be done with Microsoft Notepad. Note that XML files with more than 256 unique element names will fail to convert because the maximum number of columns in an Excel worksheet is 256. Installing XMLtoXLS
1. Unzip the XMLtoXLS zip file into any directory or folder. 2. Start Excel.
3. From the Menu bar select Tools, then Add-Ins, and click the Browse button.
4. Go to the folder where XMLtoXLS.xla was unzipped and click it.
5. "XMLtoXLS" now appears in the Add-In list.
6. Click the checkbox to the left of "XMLtoXLS".
7. Click OK to finish.
XMLtoXLS is now installed. Click here for an illustrated "how to" on installing an Excel Add In Running XMLtoXLS Run XMLtoXLS by clicking menu item "XMLtoXLS" on the Excel "Tools" menu.  
When XMLtoXLS is run it displays an Open File dialog. Select the XML file you wish to import data from and click OK. A new workbook will be opened and the XML data will be imported.
In the Demo version there are some rows with "***" in each cell and "Demo only" in the first column. After registration these lines are omitted and show the data from the XML file for those rows.
Very large files may take up to half an hour or more to import depending on processor speed and size of RAM.
How to install a new version of XMLtoXLS On the Excel Tools menu uncheck the Add-Ins checkbox against XMLtoXLS and then exit Excel. Either overwrite the old version of XMLtoXLS (copy/paste it to the same folder as the old one and click Yes to "...replace the existing file...") or copy it to another folder. Install the new release of the Add In via the Tools/Add Ins menu as shown above in "Installing XMLtoXLS".
